Join us Working Family Solidarity: Sealing/expunging your record can help you qualify for better jobs: 10/5, 5 - 7:30 pm, 6455 S. Peoria St., at the Action Coalition of Englewood. Have you been arrested or gone to court in Cook County? Want to seal or expunge records? You can get $10 cash & get this process started. Adult (18+) & Juvenile (12 - 17) Expungement and Pre-Rap Sheet Information and Intake Session. English speakers and Spanish speakers are welcome!
Many people have questions about how records can be sealed or expunged, including some of our members and community residents in our target neighborhoods. By clearing our records, we increase our chance of a good job and a decent income, as well as gaining and more housing options. We are supporting the Monroe Foundation, Get Cleared Chicago, P.A.C.T (Partnership Assisting Community Transformation), and the Illinois Migrant Coalition to help Adults and Juveniles to get their records cleared - sealed or expunged.
Register ahead of time, but Walk-ins are also welcome the evening of 10/5! Link to register:
